Maria Cristina Mata, MD, MBA, to Speak at January 8 Meeting
Thinking about making some New Year’s resolutions to be healthier, to eat better and exercise more?
Then you need to hear our January speaker - Maria Cristina Mata, the Director of Women’s Health and Metabolic Services at Holy Cross Hospital. She will help us focus on the leading women’s health issues and how we can make improvements in our lives.
Dr. Mata received her medical degree from the University of Miami, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine and a subsequent fellowship in endocrinology. In 2004, she graduated from the University of Miami with an MBA, for which she received an Award of Academic Merit.
This Cuban-born mother of five is a member of Holy Cross Hospital’s Board of Trustees. She has received the Hispanic Woman of the Year Distinction Award in 2004 and the American Diabetes Association Valor Award in 2001.
