Many thanks to Debi Davis, health and fitness expert who helped us all start 2008 on a healthy note. She gave some very do-able tips for improving and maintaining good health. |
Our speaker for the February meeting is Broward County’s Supervisor of Elections, Dr. Brenda Snipes.
Dr. Snipes has lived in Broward County since 1964. She is a graduate of Talladega College with a degree in modern foreign languages. She earned her masters degree from Florida Atlantic University and her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
She began her career as a teacher at Blanche Ely High School. She moved through the educational ranks as a program specialist, district level administrator, co-principal and principal.
Dr. Snipes was asked by Governor Jeb Bush to serve out the term of Supervisor of Elections November 20, 2003. During her tenure in this position she has held several successful elections. Over the past year, more than 25,000 local high school students have been registered to vote. |
Next meeting date is Tuesday, March 11. Please register by Thursday, March 6. We will enjoy a delicious buffet at lunch time, so there is no need to choose an entrée when you register.
Note that you RSVP by clicking the "Registration" button in the left column. Remember that a charge of $5 will be added to your bill if you attend without a reservation.
If you invite a guest, please pay at the door ($25 per guest). If you RSVP for a guest who does not attend, a $25 charge will be assessed to you. Please do not send a guest in your place. If you cannot attend, please cancel your guest as well as yourself. Thank you. See you at the meeting. |
