February 2009 2nd Edition - Issue: #40
Welcome:

Welcome to our February Broward Women’s Alliance newsletter!

I’m looking forward to seeing you at next Monday’s meeting, where Denise Palazzo, from Perspective Unlimited, will speak with us about diversity issues in the workplace and in society.

Special thanks to Melinda Lee of BankAtlantic Foundation for sponsoring the January Dessert and Coffee.

We still have some openings for Dessert and Coffee sponsors in early 2009. Sponsors are invited to speak about their businesses for 3 minutes at the podium, and provide materials at a specially designated table near the entryway to our meeting. Cost is just $250. Please email Dorothy at dklein@bplfoundation.org if you’re interested.

Cooking with Lenore

Do you enjoy cooking and sharing a good meal with friends? Well, we have just the evening planned for you on Wednesday, March 11.

BWA member and caterer Lenore Nolan-Ryan has offered to lead 30 of us through a cooking class with dinner to follow as a fundraiser for the BWA Scholarship Fund. We’d meet at 6 p.m. at Allied Kitchen & Bath, 620 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Wilton Manors. Lenore is putting the finishing touches on the menu for the evening, but I can tell you it involves a luscious-sounding chocolate dessert, and a signature BWA cocktail. Cost is $50 per person. Lenore will tell us more next week at the BWA luncheon. I hope you can be part of what promises to be a fun evening.
